Entertaining and decorative!
Since we are geeks and enjoy playing and collecting board games, we are planning on bringing a part of our board game collection to the reception, and will be using board games in lieu of traditional centerpieces.
But we need your help!

or why we don't have a registry
After much discussion, Jessa and I tried to come up with how best to tell people that we didn't really want any gifts for our wedding. What we really wanted was to see our friends, and enjoy their company for just a bit. And see them in costumes, though that's a huge bonus.
However, we know some people don't like that as much, so we've come up with something for all of you.

Planes, trains, and automobiles
There are many ways to get to Grand Junction, but like all travel, usually involve long lines through airport security, hazardous mountain passes, or that annoying guy who keeps trying to sit next to you and talk about politics and religion. Or his cats.
For your convenience, we have created a carpooling wiki.

Discover new forms of torture through DIY projects!
After much crying, swearing, and general angst, Daniel and I designed, printed, measured, marked, cut, glued, sorted, assembled, stamped, and mailed invitations!

or, how do I get to the reception site?
While Grand Junction is typically not difficult to get around in, the area around Mesa State College is somewhat non-trivial. I've been told this is the case in general for colleges in the middle of a city, so I wanted to provide a bit more information on how to get to the reception site. Also, I'll be including a google map link for all you driving in from the hotel.

If you've gotten your save the date, then you've seen at least one of Jessa's and my engagement photos, but believe it or not, we got more than one.
Details follow.

Cool stuff to do in Grand Junction, part one!
The Colorado National Monument is a good choice for you outdoorsy types. If the weather's nice you can rent a bike and ride up the mountain. If you're feeling extra adventurous it has a campground and you can spend the night there!

So, after sending out our save the dates, it seems that people are over prepared.
"Why aren't the links about Grand Junction working yet?"
"Can we RSVP online?"
"What time does the reception end so I can book my flight?"
Crazy people! We haven't even sent the invitations yet!
However, for you overly prepared people, here is our Tentative Schedule (TM).

Yes, It's a Costume Reception
We've mentioned this to quite a few people, so hopefully it isn't too much of a surprise, but our reception is going to be a costume reception. Yes, that means it's also going to be quite informal, so we hope you'll have fun with it. We're not looking for anything specific, but in case you don't know who the rest of our friends and family are, a few thoughts for what we were thinking when we decided this after the jump.

The joys of photoshop
I imagine you are reading this because you have just received a magnetic rectangle depicting a picture of us and some text, informing you of a wedding, taking place in May, and linking you to this website. This is because Daniel and I have finally finished sending off the save-the-dates we have been working on.
See what happens when you give Jessa gimp and a bunch of engagement photos? THE HORROR!

Or, how I occupy my time in the months leading up to the wedding
As Becca said to me, "You're crazy."
In mid-July, I decided it would be a fun idea to create little crocheted pouches for my wedding. We could fill them with candy or dice! And I could get rid of my scrap yarn! I decided to make each bag using a different yarn so each would be unique and I wouldn't get bored with crocheting them.
